Everyone know’s Facebook. In fact it’s often a joke when someone is not on Facebook. But over the last few years, Facebook has changed. Falling organic reach is often the biggest complaint for businesses using Facebook and many feel like it’s a dying proposition. Don’t count Facebook out now, there may still be benefits to engaging in this particular social media channel for all sorts of businesses.
Facebook is an excellent platform for spotlighting company culture and showing what you are about. You can use it for demonstrating what makes your company unique. Since people expect you to have a Facebook page, this is a good chance to let them see who you really are.
It's the Largest Social Network
Facebook is still the biggest social network on the planet, with more than a billion active users each month. So don’t turn away from that. Of course I wouldn’t put all my eggs into the Facebook basket and you should not either , but it’s still a big resource where you can get validation from customers and become the expert in what it is that you do.
Facebook remains at the core underlying social utility of the world. Yes the WORLD. Your customers are there on all their devices- desktop, mobile, and now on Facebook’s widening family of apps like Instagram. It is the most powerful channel by far for engaging, interacting and communicating with your customers and for your customers to communicate with you. If your business isn’t there, you’re letting your customers down because they expect that you’ll be there.
It's a Cheap Way to Market Your Business
For the cost of acquisition, Facebook is still one of the cheapest ways my companies create new customers for your business. The key is for your business to be social, provide good content (photos/blogs/information).
So don’t count Facebook out just yet. To make the most of it, get to know your customers and followers and then give them what they want!
